Microboards 202: Basics of Governance & Accountability This workshop will cover the basics on issues concerning governance and accounability with a Microboard. The role of directors, officers, the person supported as well as succession planning and sustainability. The workshop will also touch on important issues such as risk management and financial management. This workshop is presented by Saquiba Rahman of PooranLaw. Register here.
Microboards 203: Employing and Contracting Staff Recruiting, hiring and paying staff; understanding the difference between paid staff vs. hiring a private contractor and purchasing services from an agency are a few of the topics covered in this workshop, led by Cheryl Wiles Pooran of PooranLaw. This workshop will explore how an Independent Facilitator supports an individual and their role in the Microboard, and ensures Microboard members and directors understand the person-directed values and principles behind Microboards.
