Independent Facilitation
and Microboards
Independent Facilitators provide a unique type of support to Microboards. They can:
- Ensure a person's voice is heard, their goals expressed and decisions are supported.
- Identify strategies for expanding the number of people in a person's life.
- Work with family members on succession planning.
- Help to identify community resources and opportunities that align with a person's plan and interests.
- Keep the Microboard members informed of funding and/or legislative changes.
- Assist Microboard members to understand and carry out their role.
This list of Independent Facilitators know, understand, and have experience with supporting Microboards. Microboards Ontario does not broker, nor do we charge an admin fee if you contract anyone on this list.

We worked with Partners for Planning and Vela Canada to develop a module especially for Independent Facilitators looking to learn more about Microboards, and how to support them.
